To wash the Max Racing Exhaust’s washable type air filter, you will just need some simple tools such as screwdrivers for certain cars and an air filter cleaner.

Procedure to perform the wash:

1. Dissemble the air filter.
2. Wash it with clean water, make sure it’s wet
3. Apply Max Racing special formulated air filter cleaner evenly at 1 spray every 3 cm with a distance of 5~10 cm between the air filter and air filter cleaner.
4. Soak it for 5 minutes.
5. Use clean water to wash away the air filter cleaner detergent.
6. Let it dry under the sun or air blower.
   (avoid high-pressure air guns as they may damage the cotton density.)
7. Re-install the air filter.

Max Racing Exhaust’s air filter cleaner is a specially formulated detergent and is a powerful cleanser that can break up dirt, oils, and grease from automotive air filters. It is stronger than any general soap or shampoo and dissolves more completely in water.

Unfortunately, no you can’t. Every exhaust catback system is specially engineered & developed with the optimum exhaust flows, angles, and specs. Starting from the pipes, designated resonator, muffler, and construction are all precisely fine-tuned by Max Racing professional motorsport engineers to make sure the car can get perfect performance & sounds from low rpm to high rpm.

Exhaust packages are paired with the best exhaust resonator & muffler for specific cars. They require welding service to install at a local exhaust workshop and do not include pipes or any other services. You can get the exhaust sound mentioned in each exhaust upgrade package but they are different to the full catback system since parts in the exhaust catback are not sold individually.

Choosing the proper diameter of the tubing for your exhaust system is as important as selecting the right muffler. Your tubing diameter choice will affect the sound level and performance characteristics of the muffler, but keep in mind that bigger is not always better. Using tubing that is too large can actually hinder exhaust scavenging by slowing the velocity of exhaust pulses in the tubing resulting in a loss of torque. And torque is what moves the car.

There are many variables that need to be taken into consideration when choosing the correct tubing size for your application, such as engine technology (flat head engines vs 60’s engines vs present-day engines) cubic inch, catalytic converters, head flow, vehicle weight, how the vehicle is driven and numerous others. Light to moderately modified street applications will generally use 1-5/8″ to 2-1/2″ depending on the engine displacement, power output and the product type paired in the whole system.
